Privacy Policy

Larari is a household inventory and shopping list app for iPhone and iPad. It is developed by Béla Kellner, an individual developer.

In short

The developer does not collect, see or store any data about you. All your data lives in your own iCloud account. There is no Larari account, no server of our own, no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDK. The app declares no tracking and no collected data types to Apple.

Where your data is

  • Products, stock, shopping lists, households and photos are stored in your own iCloud (CloudKit).
  • A shared household lives in its owner's iCloud. Only the members invited to it can reach it, through Apple's iCloud sharing.
  • iCloud is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Location

  • Only with “While Using the App” permission.
  • It is used on the device to find nearby stores (Apple Maps) and, if you turn them on, for store reminders, through iOS region monitoring within a 150 m radius.
  • The developer neither receives nor stores your location. Store addresses are only cached on your device.

Camera and photos

  • Barcodes are scanned on the device. No picture is taken or uploaded.
  • Product and member photos are kept only in your own iCloud data. Product photos are scaled down to at most 800 px and stripped of metadata first.

Notifications

Notifications are local, created on your device (expiry, summaries, store reminders). On the Lock Screen they only show counts, never item names. There are no remote marketing messages.

Export files

You create .larari backup files yourself and decide where they go. Only the owner of a household can export the photos of other members.

Crash reports

The developer receives only the crash reports you allow in iOS Settings or TestFlight, anonymously, through Apple.

Deleting your data

Delete the app's data in iOS Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage ▸ Larari, or delete a household inside the app.

This website

  • No analytics and no tracking cookies. There is one functional cookie, i18n_redirected, which remembers your language choice.
  • Fonts are served from this website, nothing is loaded from Google.
  • The website is delivered through the Cloudflare network, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
